# BRIEFING — 2026-10-02T07:15:30Z

## Mission
Adversarially and empirically verify all 78 asset deliverables in assets/approved/ across 21 DRQs to confirm compliance with power-of-two dimensions, normal map vector encoding, shader syntax, atlas schemas, and size budgets.

## 🔒 My Identity

- Milestone: Asset Pipeline Adversarial Verification
- Instance: 1 of 1

## 🔒 Key Constraints
- Review-only — do NOT modify implementation code
- Adversarial challenge: stress-test assumptions, find failure modes, propose counter-examples
- Must run verification code yourself — do NOT trust worker claims or logs
- Empirical proof required: if cannot reproduce, does not count
- .agents/teamwork/ must contain only metadata — no source code, tests, or data

## Review Scope
- **Files to review**: assets/approved/ (78 deliverables across 21 DRQ folders)
- **Interface contracts**: c:\Projects\FreeExile\.agents\teamwork\orchestrator_17\PROJECT.md, worker_asset_pipeline_1\handoff.md, ORIGINAL_REQUEST.md
- **Review criteria**: Power-of-two dimensions (2^n) on all 55 PNGs, Tangent-space Sobel normal map mean(B) >= 128.0 and neutral padding (128,128,255), emissive masks, Metal MSL shaders, Atlas JSON schemas, file size budgets (<150KB / <2MB)

## Key Decisions Made
- Built standalone adversarial verification suite `tools/verification/verify_21_drq_approved_assets_adversarial.py` to test headers, dimension powers of two, normal map channel distributions, transparent padding integrity, emissive luminance, and MSL syntax.
- Verified byte-for-byte SHA-256 equivalence between `assets/approved/` and `client/webapp/assets/` across all 78 deliverables.
- Verified test suites: `tests/unit/test_design_pipeline_manager.py` (7/7 passed), `tests/e2e/test_asset_campaign_and_pipeline_e2e.py` (28/28 passed).

## Attack Surface
- **Hypotheses tested**:
  - H1 (Non-POT dimensions): Checked all 55 PNGs for $w > 0 \land (w \& (w-1)) == 0$ and $h > 0 \land (h \& (h-1)) == 0$. Result: 0 non-POT images.
  - H2 (Normal map vector bias/corruption): Tested mean($B$) channel across all 6 normal maps; verified that transparent areas $\alpha=0$ do not corrupt mean below 128. Result: All 6 normal maps have mean($B$) in $[247.75, 253.39]$, padded with $(128, 128, 255)$.
  - H3 (Blank or uncalibrated emissive masks): Tested both emissive masks for non-zero pixel activity and dimensional match with albedo. Result: Both have max luminance 255 and match diffuse dimensions.
  - H4 (Metal shader compile/syntax flaws): Tested MSL header includes, namespaces, bracket balance, vertex/fragment entrypoints. Result: All 3 shaders contain valid MSL signatures.
  - H5 (Malformed JSON manifests / bounding overflow): Tested 20 JSON schemas, request_id consistency, and texture/frame boundary conformance. Result: All 20 parse cleanly and boundings are valid.
  - H6 (File size budget overrun): Audited file sizes against DRQ budgets. Result: Maximum PNG size is 34.4KB, well below the 150KB/2MB ceilings.
  - H7 (Desynchronized client runtime): Tested SHA-256 hash match of all 78 deliverables against `client/webapp/assets/`. Result: 78/78 identical.
- **Vulnerabilities found**: None. All 78 deliverables conform strictly to FreeExile 2026 Tech Art standards.
- **Untested angles**: Native iOS Metal bytecode compilation via Xcode `xcrun metal` (tested MSL source syntax only, as host environment is Windows/Python).
