### Challenge 1: Catalog Dictionary Parity & Parameter Interpolation
- **Assumption Challenged**: All 9 languages (`vi`, `en`, `zh`, `ja`, `ko`, `th`, `de`, `ru`, `es`) have 100% key parity and identical parameter placeholders (`{sec}`, `{channel}`, `{level}`) without typos or omissions.
- **Attack Scenario**:
  - Compare key sets for every locale against the master Vietnamese dictionary.
  - Scan all keys for parameter placeholders using regex `\{[a-zA-Z0-9_]+\}` and compare placeholder arrays across all 9 languages.
  - Inspect backward-compatibility export `CHANNEL_I18N` across all 8 channels for 9 languages.
- **Stress Test Result**:
  - Key count: Exactly 77 keys in all 9 languages. Missing keys: 0. Extra keys: 0.

### Challenge 2: Microcopy Length Limits & HUD Ergonomics
- **Assumption Challenged**: Translated text in compact UI components (tabs, badges, buttons, rarities, elements) does not exceed physical mobile HUD bounding limits or cause UI overflow.
- **Attack Scenario**:
  - Measure character lengths of channel tabs, locked badges, wait badges, send buttons, HMAC badges, rarities, and elements across all 9 languages.
  - Check for illegal bilingual parenthetical formats `(` or `)` in compact UI labels.
- **Stress Test Result**:
  - Channel tabs: max 8 characters (limit <= 15).
  - Badges: `chat_badge_locked` max 9 chars (`es`: 'Bloqueado', limit <= 15), `chat_badge_wait` max 13 chars (`de`: 'Warten {sec}s', limit <= 20).

### Challenge 3: Item Link Tooltip Translation & Dynamic Re-Rendering
- **Assumption Challenged**: Item link tooltips correctly translate rarities, elements, crafter labels, and HMAC verification badges in all 9 languages, and dynamically update in-place when language changes while the tooltip is open.
- **Attack Scenario**:
  - Invoke `openItemTooltip()` with verified and unverified snapshots in all 9 locales.
  - Inspect rendered sub-headers (`subEl`), badges (`hmacBadge`), crafters, and affixes notices.
  - Open a tooltip in locale `vi`, switch locale to `ja` via `FreeExileI18n.setLocale('ja')` and `chatUi.updateLanguage('ja')`, and verify dynamic re-translation of the open tooltip without modal closing or throw.
- **Stress Test Result**:
  - Sub-header correctly localized rarity (e.g. `vi`: "Thái Cổ", `en`: "Primal", `ja`: "太古", `de`: "Uralt", `ru`: "Древний", `es`: "Primigenio").
  - Sub-header correctly localized element and suffix across 5 elements.
  - Verified badge rendered `✓ HMAC ...` with `bg-emerald-950 text-emerald-400 border-emerald-700/60`.
  - Unverified badge rendered `⚠ ...` with `bg-rose-950 text-rose-400 border-rose-800/60` and localized unverified affixes message.
  - Dynamic in-place re-translation verified: open tooltip smoothly updated from Vietnamese to Japanese ("太古", "Lv. 95") without errors.

### Challenge 4: Exception Resilience & Defensive Isolation
- **Assumption Challenged**: Missing keys, null keys, adversarial parameters, subscriber exceptions, and headless execution do not crash the chat UI or break the event bus.
- **Attack Scenario**:
  - Call `FreeExileI18n.t()` with non-existent keys, `null`, `undefined`, numeric keys, and `null`/`undefined` params.
  - Register a subscriber that throws `new Error('Adversarial subscriber error')`, followed by valid subscribers, and trigger `setLocale('ru')`.
  - Execute `chat_ui.js` core functions in a headless environment with null DOM elements.
- **Stress Test Result**:
  - `t()` with missing key returned fallback or key itself without throwing.
  - `t()` with `null`/`undefined` returned fallback without throwing.
  - `t()` with numeric key or null params returned string without throwing.
  - In `setLocale()`, the thrown exception was caught and logged (`i18n listener error: ...`), while subsequent subscribers were successfully invoked with `(newLocale, prevLocale, dict)`.
  - Headless/null DOM calls in `chat_ui.js` exited cleanly via defensive checks (`if (!btn) return;`, etc.).
