Last visited: 2026-10-04T13:00:00Z

## Status
- Analyzed mandatory files: `ORIGINAL_REQUEST.md` (## 2026-10-04T12:05:22Z), `PROJECT.md`, `worker_m1/handoff.md`.
- Inspected target atlas `client/cocos/assets/resources/vfx/savage_primal_skills_vfx_atlas.png` (2048x2048, 4 channels).
- Authored standalone adversarial stress test `tests/challenger_dilation_alpha_stress.py`:
  - Test 1: Topology & 8 Dilation Rings Coverage (100% across 255,439 texels).
  - Test 2: Semi-Transparent Edge Pixels & Boundary Chromaticity (88,065 edge pixels, 40,501 1px boundary pixels).
  - Test 3: Sub-pixel Bilinear Interpolation Simulation on Pure Black and Dark Dungeon backgrounds (0 dips below ambient, compared to 1,865-2,338 dips in unpadded baseline).
  - Test 4: Mipmap Downscaling Retention (Levels 1 to 3: 1.29x, 1.73x, 2.30x luminance gain; up to 56.5% darkening avoided).
- Executed tests via CLI `python tests/challenger_dilation_alpha_stress.py` and `pytest tests/challenger_dilation_alpha_stress.py -v` (4/4 passed in 6.73s).
- Streamlined `tests/challenger_dilation_alpha_stress.py` to 199 lines (strictly under 350-line hygiene limit).
- Delivered analysis report to `c:\Projects\FreeExile\.agents\teamwork\challenger_m1_1\analysis.md`.
- Delivered self-contained 5-component handoff report to `c:\Projects\FreeExile\.agents\teamwork\challenger_m1_1\handoff.md`.
- EMPIRICAL VERDICT: **APPROVE**.
