> **Milestone**: E2E Testing Track
> **Target Files**:

### 1. Observation

1. **Pre-Implementation Test Baseline**:
   - Command: `pytest tests/unit/ -q`
   - Result: `894 passed in 51.29s` (exit code 0). Zero regression baseline established.
2. **Implementation Discovery & Defect Escalation**:
   - Initial run of `WildernessMapGenerator.generate()` threw:
     `AttributeError: 'WildernessMapGenerator' object has no attribute '_seal_boss_perimeter'` at `server/world/wilderness_map_generator.py:73`.
   - In accordance with the QA / Test Writer mandate, the defect was escalated via coordination message to `worker_m1` (`6dc9b9ec-a528-443b-971c-65305cf0bbfc`).
   - `worker_m1` added `_seal_boss_perimeter` at line 134, ensuring 100% solid walls around the Boss Arena with exactly 1 isolated `BOSS_GATE`.
3. **E2E Test Execution**:
   - Command: `pytest tests/e2e/test_poe2_map_system_e2e.py -v`
   - Result: `81 passed in 1.16s` (exit code 0).
4. **Code & Documentation Hygiene**:
   - Command: `python tools/lint/check_code_and_doc_hygiene.py --strict`
   - Result: `✅ KẾT QUẢ: TOÀN BỘ MÃ NGUỒN VÀ TÀI LIỆU TUÂN THỦ HARD CAP HYGIENE!`
   - Line count for `tests/e2e/test_poe2_map_system_e2e.py`: `446 lines` (meets target $\le 450$ lines, strictly below the 500-line Hard Cap).
   - Line count for `c:\Projects\FreeExile\TEST_INFRA.md`: `124 lines` (strictly below the 600-line Hard Cap).
   - Line count for `c:\Projects\FreeExile\TEST_READY.md`: `123 lines` (strictly below the 600-line Hard Cap).

### 2. Logic Chain

1. **Test Architecture Derivation**:
   - From `ORIGINAL_REQUEST.md` (§ `## 2026-10-01T19:19:13Z`) and `PROJECT.md` (§ Features 1–36), 9 core features were identified for Tier 1: procedural generation from seed, binary serialization `Uint8Array`, spawn safe floor radius 8.0, winding path sinuosity $\ge 1.25$, encounter zone classification, dead-end carving, isolated boss gate, POI placement, and client grid ingestion simulation.
   - For each of the 9 features, 5 dedicated test cases were authored (45 Tier 1 tests).
2. **Boundary & Corner Case Formulation**:
   - In Tier 2, 5 key boundary areas were derived: smallest grid ($60 \times 45$) vs largest grid ($120 \times 90$), boundary coordinate impenetrability, out-of-bounds `getTileAt` handling returning `WALL` (2), extreme seeds (0, negative, $2^{31}-1$, $2^{32}-1$), and spawn/perimeter clamping. 5 tests per area were implemented (25 Tier 2 tests).
3. **Cross-Feature Integration Formulation**:
   - In Tier 3, 5 cross-cutting tests were authored verifying divergent layouts across seeds, encounter zone positioning along the main path, boss gate sealing preventing arena access prior to breach, waypoint safe radius rejection inside the tile map (`ZoneEngine`), and binary serialization preserving 100% path connectivity.
4. **Real-World Scenario Formulation**:
   - In Tier 4, 6 realistic application scenarios were verified: complete player journey from zone entry to Boss Altar, terrain movement cost calculation (PATH $0.8$ vs DENSE $1.43$), POI ambush/reward collection, dynamic Fog of War state machine (UNEXPLORED $\rightarrow$ VISIBLE $\rightarrow$ EXPLORED_FOGGED), endgame apex generation ($120 \times 90$), and unit test regression protection.
5. **Hygiene & Compliance Optimization**:
   - All 81 test cases were written and condensed into a single self-contained test file (`tests/e2e/test_poe2_map_system_e2e.py`) of 446 lines, satisfying the project's $\le 450$ line target and $\le 500$ line Hard Cap.

### 3. Caveats

- The client-side DOM rendering in WebApp (`tile_map_renderer.js`, OffscreenCanvas chunks, and canvas 2D contexts) is tested in browser/Node benchmark harnesses (`tools/perf/map_render_benchmark.js`); our Python E2E test suite simulates client grid memory ingestion and tile indexing directly via the canonical row-major wire format (`Uint8Array` buffer).
- Unit test suite regression verification confirmed 894/894 tests pass on the baseline codebase.

---

### 4. Conclusion

The comprehensive opaque-box requirement-driven E2E test suite for the FreeExile PoE2-style procedural tile map system overhaul is complete, verified, and passing 100% (81 passed in 1.16s). `TEST_INFRA.md` and `TEST_READY.md` have been authored and published at the project root. Zero hygiene violations exist. The E2E Testing Track is ready for handoff to the orchestrator.

### 5. Verification Method

To independently verify the test suite:

```bash
# 1. Execute the comprehensive E2E test suite (Tiers 1-4)
pytest tests/e2e/test_poe2_map_system_e2e.py -v
# 2. Execute with concise output
pytest tests/e2e/test_poe2_map_system_e2e.py -q
# 3. Verify strict code and doc hygiene gate
python tools/lint/check_code_and_doc_hygiene.py --strict
# 4. Verify existing unit tests baseline (894 tests)
pytest tests/unit/ -q
```

**Invalidation Conditions**:
- Any test failure in `tests/e2e/test_poe2_map_system_e2e.py`.
- Any file exceeding 500 lines for code or 600 lines for documentation in `check_code_and_doc_hygiene.py --strict`.
- Any regression failure in `tests/unit/`.
