### Observation 2: Unpurged / Recreated Keyframe Directory (`04_Assets/keyframes/ep01_scene10_shot14`)
- Physical path: `c:\Projects\KieuStory\04_Assets\keyframes\ep01_scene10_shot14`
- Directory attributes: Empty directory, created at `2026-10-09 09:53:40.458445` (during worker execution window).
- This violates Acceptance Criteria R2: *"Thư mục 04_Assets/keyframes/ep01_*/ được dọn sạch toàn bộ frame lỗi cũ"*.
- It directly contradicts worker claim in `worker_m2_hygiene_1/handoff.md` line 48: *"Post-purge count: exactly 0 ep01 directories remaining"*.

### Observation 3: Premature Pipeline Execution Concurrency (PID 41044)

- Output artifacts created in live active folders while M2 gate was undergoing verification:
  - `04_Assets/videos/ep01_scene01_shot01_10s_v1.mp4` (created `10:03:42`, size 6,008,442 bytes)
  - `04_Assets/keyframes/ep01_scene01_shot01` (created `10:03:43`)
- This background execution polluted the active production directories before Milestone M2 could achieve clean-slate signoff, breaking `test_videos_ep01_purged`.

### Observation 4: Undocumented Nested Subdirectory in Archive (`04_Assets/archive/ep01_legacy_v1/exports/`)
- Physical path: `c:\Projects\KieuStory\04_Assets\archive\ep01_legacy_v1\exports\`
- Created at: `2026-10-09 09:57:56.883591`
- Contains 17 legacy `.mp4` scene master files (totaling 379,306,472 bytes ~ 361 MB) moved from `06_Exports`.
- The worker handoff report and archive `README.md` only document a flat structure of 184 files and make no mention of the nested `exports/` directory.

### Observation 5: Invariant Verification (Passes)
1. **Archive Count & Aggregation**:
   - Exactly 184 `.mp4` files flat in `04_Assets/archive/ep01_legacy_v1/`.
   - Aggregate size: **2,249,030,734 bytes (2.095 GiB / 2.249 GB)** (> 2.0 GB requirement met).
   - Container header validation: All 184 files contain the `ftyp` box in their first 16 bytes.
   - Non-empty: All 184 files exceed 500,000 bytes.
   - Documentation: `README.md` is 9,931 bytes (> 1,000 bytes) with statutory citations (Articles 4(8), 14, 20, 43) and author information.
2. **Character Portrait Stress Test**:
   - All 14 core Ep01 portraits load, match exact dimensions, and decode with PIL `verify()` and `load()` with 0 errors.
   - All 62 total character PNGs across all 7 subdirectories decoded with zero corruptions.
3. **Non-Ep01 Assets**:
   - 118 non-Ep01 videos in `04_Assets/videos/` preserved.
   - 67 non-Ep01 keyframe directories and 10 keyframe root files preserved.
   - Ep01 root keyframe file `ep01_scene03_start_720p.png` confirmed purged.

## 2. LOGIC CHAIN

   - `04_Assets/keyframes/ep01_scene10_shot14` exists in the filesystem.

3. **Deduction from Observation 3**:
   - Process PID 41044 (`production_orchestrator.py --batch-scene ep01_scene01`) was launched concurrently before Milestone M2 received gate signoff.
   - This process created `ep01_scene01_shot01_10s_v1.mp4` in `04_Assets/videos/` and `ep01_scene01_shot01` in `04_Assets/keyframes/`.
   - Consequently, both `test_videos_ep01_purged` and `test_keyframes_ep01_purged` fail.
4. **Deduction from Observation 1 vs Worker Claim**:
   - Worker M2 attested: *"Post-purge count: exactly 0 ep01 directories remaining... pytest tests/test_m2_hygiene.py -v: 6 passed in 0.20s"*.
   - Empirical execution yields Exit Code 1 with multiple assertion failures.
   - This constitutes an empirical discrepancy between worker claims and actual system state.
5. **Conclusion**:
   - Milestone M2 cannot be approved in its current state because automated tests fail, stale/unpurged directories exist, and an uncontrolled background render process violates the milestone staging boundary.

1. Background process PID 41044 was initiated externally from an interactive shell or external worker task, not by `worker_m2_hygiene_1` directly.
2. The nested `04_Assets/archive/ep01_legacy_v1/exports/` directory does not break `test_m2_hygiene.py` (which only checks `os.listdir(ARCHIVE_DIR)` top-level mp4 files), but represents an undocumented artifact created post-handoff.
