## 1. Observation

### 1.1 Start Frame Physical Resolution (Instruction 1)
- **140-Shot Disk Resolution**:
  Across all 140 shots of Ep01 Scenes 01 to 10 (`ep01_scene01_shot01` to `ep01_scene10_shot13`):
  - Every shot resolves to a physical file that exists on disk: `unresolved = 0`, `non_existent = 0`, `zero_byte = 0`.
  - All 140 resolved image files are valid 3-channel images decodable by OpenCV (`cv2.imread`), with dimensions $\ge 720p$ ($w \ge 1200, h \ge 700$).
  - Breakdown of unique files used: 35 distinct image files across `04_Assets/characters/`, `04_Assets/keyframes/`, and `04_Assets/backgrounds/`.
  - Cú máy classification: 105 `CINEMATIC_CUT` shots and 35 `CONTINUOUS_TAKE` shots. All Scene Openers (Shot 01 of Scenes 01 to 10) are classified as `CINEMATIC_CUT` and never link to a `prev_tail`.

### 1.2 DEFECT DETECTED: Character Face Leakage in Scene 03 (Thúy Vân $\rightarrow$ Thúy Kiều)
During empirical auditing of all 140 shots against character anchors and shot descriptions, an empirical bug was discovered in Scene 03:

1. **Defect in `ep01_scene03_shot05`**:
   - File: `episodes/ep01/prompts/muse_prompts.json:529-540` (and `02_AI_Prompts/muse_ai_video_prompts.json`)
   - Title: `"EP01 Cảnh 03 Shot 05: NỘI. KHUÊ PHÒNG THÚY KIỀU & THÚY VÂN - Thúy Vân đứng dậy gọi chị (Medium Shot Thúy Vân)."`
   - Motion Prompt: Explicitly specifies Thúy Vân:

2. **Defect in `ep01_scene03_shot03`**:
   - File: `episodes/ep01/prompts/muse_prompts.json:506-516`
   - Title: `"EP01 Cảnh 03 Shot 03: NỘI. KHUÊ PHÒNG THÚY KIỀU & THÚY VÂN - Đặc tả vẻ đẹp Thúy Vân (Close-Up Portrait Thúy Vân)"`
   - Motion Prompt: Explicitly specifies Thúy Vân's iconic portrait:

   - Manifest: `character_asset_ref` is empty/missing in `muse_prompts.json`.
   - Master Prompt Library: `02_AI_Prompts/gemini_banana_prompts.json:ep01_scene03_shot03` erroneously specifies:

   - **Empirical Resolution**: `resolve_start_frame("ep01_scene03_shot03", sdata)` returns:

3. **Defect in Safeguard Logic in `production_orchestrator.py:388-418`**:

   Because the scene room header is `"NỘI. KHUÊ PHÒNG THÚY KIỀU & THÚY VÂN"`, the string `"thúy kiều"` is ALWAYS present in `combined` for every shot of Scene 03. Consequently:
   - `title_tv_only` evaluates to `False` for all shots in Scene 03.
   - `is_thuy_van` evaluates to `False`.
   - The bilateral safeguard (`if is_thuy_van and "thuy_kieu" in ref_lower: asset_ref = thuy_van...`) is permanently disabled for Scene 03, allowing `thuy_kieu_maiden_16yo_720p.png` to leak into Thúy Vân shots.

### 1.3 Shot Gate Retake Loop Verification (Instruction 2)
- Tested with real synthetic video generation (`MUSE_DRY_RUN=1` / `dry_run=True`) in `tests/test_m3_challenger1_probe.py`:
  1. `test_retake_loop_eventual_approval_with_incremented_versions`:
     - When critic returns scores `[0.60, 0.72, 0.88]`, `render_single_shot` generates `_v1.mp4`, `_v2.mp4`, and `_v3.mp4` on disk.
     - Automatically appends `[Critique Fix: <notes>]` to the prompt on each retake.
     - Approves and extracts `clean_frame_239.jpg` on attempt 3.
  2. `test_retake_loop_persistent_failure_terminates_on_max_retakes`:
     - When critic persistently returns score $0.55 < 0.80$, loop executes exactly 3 times ($1 \text{ initial} + 2 \text{ retakes}$ for `max_retakes=2`) and returns `False`.
     - Creates `_v1`, `_v2`, `_v3` on disk without creating unauthorized `_v4`.
  3. `test_retake_loop_immediate_pass_does_not_retake`:
     - When score is $0.92 \ge 0.80$, terminates on attempt 1 with `True` and only `_v1.mp4`.
  4. `test_retake_loop_action_retake_shot_overrides_high_score`:
     - When score is $0.82 \ge 0.80$ but `suggested_action == "RETAKE_SHOT"`, the gate triggers retake and produces `_v2.mp4`.
- **Verdict on Retake Loop**: Robust, mathematically and empirically sound.

### 1.4 Test Suite Execution (Instruction 3)
1. `pytest tests/test_production_pipeline_m3.py -v`: 16 passed in 4.44s.
2. `pytest tests/test_critic_gate.py -v`: 30 passed in 12.89s.
3. `pytest tests/test_m2_hygiene.py -v`: 6 passed in 0.17s.
4. `pytest tests/test_m1_challenger2_probe.py -v`: 47 passed in 0.67s.
5. `pytest tests/test_m3_challenger1_probe.py -v`: 9 passed, 1 xfailed defect in 13.95s.

## 2. Logic Chain

1. **Acceptance Criteria Requirement**:
   `ORIGINAL_REQUEST.md §R1` and `§R2` state:
   > "Thẩm định đúng nhân vật (không nhầm vai giữa Thúy Kiều và Vương Ông/Vương Bà/Kim Trọng [và Thúy Vân])"
   > "Không còn bất kỳ shot nào bị xung đột điều kiện (gán nhầm ảnh Thúy Kiều cho nhân vật khác)."
2. **Observation**:
   - In `ep01_scene03_shot05`: The script and prompt depict Thúy Vân ("Thúy Vân đứng dậy gọi chị... Thần thái Thúy Vân đoan trang, phúc hậu..."), but the prompt dictionary hardcodes `"character_asset_ref": "04_Assets/characters/01_Main_Protagonists/thuy_kieu_maiden_16yo_720p.png"`.
   - In `ep01_scene03_shot03`: The prompt describes Thúy Vân's portrait ("Đặc tả vẻ đẹp Thúy Vân... Khuôn trăng đầy đặn nét ngài nở nang..."), but `gemini_banana_prompts.json` has `"character_anchor": "thuy_kieu_maiden"`.
   - In `production_orchestrator.py`: The check `title_tv_only = ("thúy vân" in combined and "thúy kiều" not in combined)` fails because the room header `KHUÊ PHÒNG THÚY KIỀU & THÚY VÂN` contains `thúy kiều`.
3. **Consequence**:
   When rendered by Muse.ai, Shot 03 and Shot 05 will take Thúy Kiều's portrait as their Start Frame, producing Thúy Kiều's face in shots intended for Thúy Vân.
4. **Conclusion**:
   Milestone M3 cannot be approved until this character asset misassignment and safeguard bypass are corrected.

## 3. Caveats

- `tests/test_m3_challenger1_probe.py` marks `test_empirical_defect_scene03_thuy_van_shots_leak_thuy_kieu` as `xfail(strict=True)` so the test suite can execute deterministically while preserving reproducible proof of the failure.
- In `04_Assets/characters/`, the master portrait `thuy_van_maiden_16yo_720p.png` exists and is pristine ($1280 \times 720$). Only the mapping in prompt manifests and the safeguard parsing logic require correction.

## 4. Conclusion

**Verdict: REQUEST_CHANGES**

The M3 pipeline implementation is well-structured and 95% complete (140 shots resolve on disk, Shot Gate retake loop operates reliably, Audio Guard is enforced, 158 tests pass). However, the critical acceptance criteria requiring **zero character face leakage / misassignment** is violated in Ep01 Scene 03.

### Required Actions for Worker Agent:
1. **Fix `ep01_scene03_shot05` in prompt manifests**:
   In `episodes/ep01/prompts/muse_prompts.json` (and sync to `02_AI_Prompts/muse_ai_video_prompts.json`):
   Change:

3. **Enhance safeguard parsing in `production_orchestrator.py`**:
   In `resolve_start_frame`: Parse the shot subtitle (the portion after `" - "`) separately from the room header, so that room headers containing `"THÚY KIỀU & THÚY VÂN"` do not falsely mask Thúy Vân shots.

## 5. Verification Method

To independently verify the defect and validate the subsequent fix:

1. **Run Challenger 1 Probe Suite**:

   *Current Result*: 9 passed, 1 xfailed (defect reproduced).
   *Post-fix Expected*: When `xfail` is removed from `test_empirical_defect_scene03_thuy_van_shots_leak_thuy_kieu`, all 10 tests must pass.

2. **Run Resolution Probe Command**:
